Depending on the industry in which you're involved, your lead provider should be able to deliver exclusive leads that are untouched by other brokers and businesses. Typically, leads that are exclusive enjoy higher conversions than leads that are shared with multiple brokers. As a result, exclusive leads cost more to acquire.
As companies race online to acquire leads in all markets, the result is an increased breadth in the level of lead exclusivity offered. Some brokers are willing to sacrifice exclusivity for lower-cost leads provided in higher volume. Others prefer to accept a lower volume of exclusive leads that aren't shared and thus, cost more and convert more easily.
